The winners of Sommelier of the year 2022 are announced!
For the twelfth time in a row we, Home and Table by Meyhui, together with Foodprint by mjPublishing and Club Prosper Montagné, organized
the election of “Sommelier of the Year”.
The results of the Sommelier of the Year 2022 election were announced yesterday in Brussels. To everyone’s surprise there is not one this year, but there are no fewer than 4 winners! Dries Corneillie (28) from De Jonkman, Paul-Henri Cuvelier (39) from Paul de Pierre, Yentl Quintelier (23) from La Table de Maxime, Yannick Michel (38) from Le Damison finished eq aeqou and are all Sommelier Of The Year 2022.
Carol Leroy of the champagne house Duval-Leroy was voted Wine Lady of the Year 2022 because as an entrepreneur she makes a huge contribution to the image of every woman in the wine world.
“Never before has the hospitality industry experienced such a deep crisis as in the past two years. Never before have so many skilled people left the profession so linked to hospitality. That is why the board and jury of Sommelier of the Year took the decision to encourage the bottleneck profession of sommelier.”

“Four young sommeliers displayed their customer-friendliness and craftsmanship in an excellent way during the final. Each in their own personal way, each time different, but always with the highest degree of expertise, and this at the service of the guests. The jury has therefore unanimously decided to award these four top sommeliers the title of Sommelier of the Year 2022.”
Carol Duval-Leory was also honored and named Wine Lady of the Year 2022. Baudouin Meyhui: “Over the past 30 years, Mrs. Duval has made her mark in the French wine world in an exceptional way. As an entrepreneur, she managed to turn the Duval-Leroy champagne house into a top brand, both in Europe and in the rest of the world.”
